What is gynecomastia?
Gynecomastia may be defined as a common condition which results in enlarged male breast tissue. Although it can affect individuals of all ages, it typically manifests itself in the early stages of infancy, adolescence, and later maturity. Gynecomastia can have a variety of causes, the most prevalent being an imbalance between the hormone’s estrogen and testosterone.
It is the most common male disorder. Globally, around 50–65% of boys and men are affected by gynecomastia.
